Building “Green” is sweeping the U.S. and Europe as a response to high energy costs and environmental challenges. In the U.S., LEED (“Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design”) is fast becoming the accepted method for analyzing “Green” building design. LEED awards points in a number of areas, including sustainable site development, water savings, energy savings, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. If a building achieves enough points, it can be designated as a Green Building. Use of Pleotint’s SRT™ window system should aid in obtaining points in multiple areas.
